Steve Hansen
Steven W. Hansen is a lawyer providing legal services through Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as a consultant to the firm. He was formerly a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and at Bingham McCutchen LLP. Mr. Hansen regularly represents hedge fund and private equity managers, investment advisers, broker-dealers, and issuers and their directors and officers in securities regulatory and compliance matters and civil litigation. He is a past co-chair of the American Bar Association's Litigation Section Securities Litigation Committee and former member of that Section's Task Force on Federal Practice. He has served as chair of the Securities Enforcement and Litigation Committee and of the Federal Practice and Civil Procedure Committee of the Litigation Section of the Boston Bar Association. Mr. Hansen is a former Branch Chief in the Division of Enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He writes and speaks frequently on securities compliance topics. Mr. Hansen is a graduate of Yale Law School and Swarthmore College.
