Annie Hancock
Annie is a Counsel in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement and is a member of the Asset Management Unit. In her time with the SEC, Annie has brought enforcement actions involving SPACs, investment advisers, disclosure violations and market manipulation. In 2022, Annie received the Chair’s Award for Investor Protection, and serves as a resource to other SEC staff conducting SPAC-related investigations. Prior to joining the SEC in 2022, Annie was an associate in Ropes & Gray’s securities enforcement and asset management practice groups where she focused on representing investment advisers in SEC examinations and investigations, as well as advising on regulatory and compliance matters. Annie received a B.A from Williams College and her J.D. from Boston University.
