Continuing Education


NSCP will once again be offering the opportunity for attendees to receive Continuing Education (“CE”) Credits at our National Conference, including CLE, CPE, CSCP, and more.

50 minute hour (e.g. CPE) – 14.4 total credits available
60 minute hour – 12.0 total credits available   (IL CLE – 8.5 general & 3.5 ethics)

Obtaining CE Credits at the 2021 National Conference is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  • Choose “Yes” to the Continuing Education question, providing the requested information, when registering for the conference.
    • If you have already registered for the conference and did not register for CE, email certification@nscp.org PRIOR to the conference to update your registration.
  • Verify your Attendance!
    • You MUST verify your attendance scanning the QR code at the entry door to each CE eligible session that you attend and you need CE credit for within the first 15 minutes of the session.
    • You must notify NSCP staff within the first 15 minutes of that session if you are unable to confirm your scan completed via email to certfication@nscp.org . Please include your name, session, and scan issue in your email.
  • Receive your Certificate of Attendance via email from NSCP within 4-5 weeks after the conference has ended.
    • NSCP will provide those attendees who chose “Yes” to the Continuing Education question when registering for the conference with a Certificate of Attendance noting only the sessions that a scan was completed within 15 minutes of the start of the session.

 

NSCP will ONLY apply for pre-approval of Continuing Legal Education (“CLE”) with the MCLE Board of the Supreme Court of Illinois and the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.  If you need CLE credit in a state other than Illinois, you will need to self-apply to the state you are licensed using the Certificate of Attendance provided by NSCP.  Illinois is a 60 minute state and is also a reciprocal state for the majority of other states for CLE and their pre-approval is widely accepted by other state bars.

CLE

NOTE:  Every state bar sets their own rules and follows their own guidelines.  NSCP cannot guarantee that every state will recognize NSCP as an accredited provider for in-person/online/virtual/distance learning and thus many choose not to award you CLE credits for this event.

60 Minute States (AK, AL, AZ, AR, CA, DE, GA, ID, IL IN, IA, KY, LA, ME, MN, MS, MT, NH, NV, NC, ND, NM, OH, OR, PA, PR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA and WY)

  • 1.25 Credits per 75 Minute Session
  • 1.00 Credits per 60 Minute Session

50 Minute States (CO, FL, GU, KS, MO, NJ, NY, OK, RI, VI, WV and WI)

  • 1.5 Credits per 75 Minute Session
  • 1.2 Credits per 60 Minute Session

Ethics Credits
NSCP will be applying for CLE Ethics credits \with the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism for the following three (3) sessions:

3b. ALL – Ethical Best Practices: Taking Tone at the Top to a Crescendo (Advanced)
6f. ALL – Ethical Decision-Making for Compliance Lab (Intermediate)
9c. ALL – Ethics of Managing Personnel Conflicts of Interest: Challenges for Dual Registrants (Intermediate)

Time stamped scans for each session will be required within the first 15 minutes of each session.  Failure to scan in at any point will prevent NSCP from providing a certificate for the session(s) in question.

CPE

The National Society of Compliance Professionals is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.

  • 14.4 Total CPE Credits* Available
    • 1.5 Credits will be given for each 75 Minute (CE eligible) Session that has been scanned within 15 minutes of the start of each eligible session.
    • 1.2 Credits will be given for each 60 Minute (CE eligible) Session that has been scanned within 15 minutes of the start of each eligible session.

CSCP

Participants can earn up to a total of 14.4 CSCP credits.

*75 minute sessions = 1.5 credits per session that has been scanned within 15 minutes of the start of each eligible session.
*60 minute sessions = 1.2 credits per session that has been scanned within 15 minutes of the start of each eligible session.

NOTE:  All NSCP conferences/interchanges/webinars qualify for CSCP credit.
