Lisa Nelson
Lisa Nelson is responsible for the Operational Resilience team within the Corporate Risk Management department at Charles Schwab. Her team leads Cyber Resilience, Business Continuity/Resilience, Incident/Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery oversight, Tool Support, and the OR Program Office as a part of Technology Risk Management team in the second line of defense. As the Chair of Schwab’s Pandemic Steering Group, Lisa has played a key role in the Firm’s pandemic response to COVID-19.
Lisa joined Schwab in March 2017 as the Business Information Security Officer (BISO), building out a model to partner with business units to identify security risks, launch initiatives to mitigate them and grow programs to support day-to-day security needs. Prior to Schwab, Lisa spent 10 years of her career at Honeywell with leadership responsibilities in Information Technology spanning application support, business continuity, disaster recovery, governance, application currency, information security and program management. Previously, Lisa worked at Prudential Financial in Information Technology leading enhancement projects.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University and a Master of Business Administration, as well as several certifications including PMP, ITIL, CRISC and CISM. She and her husband have two children and live in the Denver, Colorado area.
