Brian Amundson

Brian Amundson manages the National Supervision & Surveillance team at Thrivent Financial based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Brian and his team perform monitoring and supervision of sales practices within the Broker-Dealer and Investment Adviser realms of Thrivent and Thrivent Investment Management, Inc. (TIMI). Brian and his team collaborate and consult with our registered representatives and internal business partners on a variety of topics and initiatives, ranging from the findings of their work to new regulations, initiatives, and efficiencies to integrate supervisory oversight into business processes.

Prior to Thrivent, Brian managed the Brokerage Operations department at a regional broker-dealer in Wisconsin where he performed day-to-day suitability and supervision of all accounts, products and advisory programs on the brokerage platform, while also helping to influence the compliant and thoughtful growth of their Advisory platform. Brian began his investment career at Vanguard in Scottsdale Arizona, building deep familiarity with investment products and trading mechanics which round out his experience with compliance and supervision.

Mr. Amundson holds a B.S. degree in Business Management, a Master's of Business Administration, and a M.S. in Financial Analysis. He currently holds the following securities registrations: S4, S7, S24, S53, S53, S63, S66 and has completed the CSCP designation through the NSCP.
