Ivy Duke
Ivy Wafford Duke is General Counsel at ImpactAssets, Inc., a nonprofit financial services firm that facilitates impact investing through donor advised funds and other philanthropic and impact investing options. In addition to providing counsel for corporate law and corporate governance, she also oversees regulatory compliance for the nonprofit, private investment, and investment advisor operations. Prior to joining ImpactAssets, Ivy was the Chief Compliance Officer at National Real Estate Advisors LLC, a real estate investment advisor that specializes in build-to-core real estate projects. Prior to this she served as Counsel at Seward & Kissel LLP, responsible for matters involving registered fund and adviser operations. For the previous 20 years Ms. Duke worked at Calvert, last holding the position of Vice President and Acting General Counsel, where she led legal operations of multiple open-end registered investment companies and guided the firm’s regulatory functions. She also concurrently served as Counsel for the Calvert Foundation where she provided legal counsel on securities-related and philanthropic activities, including the launch of its donor advised fund. In her early legal career, she was an Associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP (now Faegre Drinker) and a Law Clerk at Philadelphia Electric Company. Ms. Duke holds a LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center, and a J.D. and B.A. from the University of Virginia.
