Stephen Marsh is the CEO and founder of Smarsh, which delivers cloud-based solutions for today’s digital communication mediums including email, instant messaging, public and enterprise social media, mobile messaging, and the Web. Founded in 2001, Smarsh is the trusted archiving and compliance provider for a growing base of over 20,000 companies that rely on its solutions to help meet regulatory compliance, e-discovery and record retention requirements. Company Background Marsh brought the fledgling tech startup Smarsh to Portland, Oregon in 2004 with two employees. Ten years later, the cloud-based archiving provider has passed the 200-employee mark, with over 120 located at the company’s downtown headquarters. Smarsh has compiled a consistent track record of revenue growth, surpassing $30 million in annual revenue in 2013. With five offices nationwide and another in London, Smarsh continues to invest in company growth and product innovation. Now a veteran member of Portland’s next generation of technology leadership, Marsh has helped position Smarsh as one of the fastest growing companies in Oregon and the U.S and is steering the company into its next phase of growth.
