Noula Zaharis currently serves as Director of Securities & Charities Division of the Georgia Secretary of State. Her past experience includes serving as a regulatory Compliance Analyst at Ekonomou, Atkisson & Lambros Law Firm (2005-2008), which served as the Investigative Agent for the Georgia Securities Division. She also served as Director of Compliance at Investment Law Group of Gillett, Mottern & Walker, LLP (2008-2014), managing the registrations and compliance support for state and federal registered investment advisers and hedge fund managers. She also held the position of Vice-President of Compliance (2014) at a publically traded oil and gas company located in Dallas, Texas. Ms. Zaharis is a former English and Latin teacher with Atlanta Public Schools and was an associate professor of English with the Department of Developmental Studies at Georgia State University. Ms. Zaharis is a past Director of the Annunciation Cathedral Catechetical School, board member of the Annunciation Day School parochial school, and current Vice-President of the Parish Council at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Atlanta, GA. She serves on the Steering Committee of the Investment Adviser Section of the North America Securities Administrators Association, as well as on the Continuing Education Committee for the Investment Adviser Section. She holds a Master of Arts (M.A.), English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), English Language and Literature/Letters from Furman University. She also holds an Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP) from National Regulatory Services (NRS) Certification and a Paralegal Certification from Emory University.
