GCO/Compliance Training Manager
Michele F. Lipschultz is the General Counsel’s Office-Compliance Training Manager at Thrivent Financial. Ms. Lipschultz provides consulting, curriculum creation and curation, learner centric resources and solutions and risk mitigation via regulatory training. Her primary responsibility is to manage the day to day operations of Thrivent’s Compliance Training program, design, develop and facilitate various training projects and deliverables across the organization. Ms. Lipschultz has close to 15 years’ experience in compliance and regulatory matters in the financial industry. She works closely with Thrivent’s CCO to build a compliance training portfolio and training strategy to address the organization’s compliance needs, the current regulatory focus, industry hot topics and key risk areas. She holds the General Securities Principal, General Securities Representative, Uniform State Agent Law Examination registrations with FINRA and Wisconsin Life and Health licensing. Ms. Lipschultz earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in July 2008 from the University of Wisconsin. In 1998, Ms. Lipschultz joined Aid Association for Lutherans, now Thrivent Financial. Prior to her regulatory and compliance training career, she was a Senior Compliance Examiner at Thrivent, served as the author and editor of the organization’s compliance newsletter-The Compliance Bulletin and served as an interim manager for the Field Compliance Examiner team. Ms. Lipschultz has served on NSCP Board of Directors, Chair-NSCP Education Committee, Member-Meetings Committee, Masters of Business Administration Advisory Board-University of WI, and frequently serves as a panelist and or facilitator on effective Learning and Development, Regulatory Training and soft skills training.
