Lisa L. Roitman is the General Counsel of Pollen Street Capital (US) LLC part of the Pollen Street Capital Group (“PSC”). PSC is a global, independent alternative asset investment management company focused on the financial and business services sectors with both private equity and specialty lending strategies. Prior to joining PSC she was a marketing and business strategist for Bloomberg LP in their Enterprise Data division with a focus on regulatory compliance technology including Bloomberg’s Entity Exchange and Entity Intelligence platforms. Previously she served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Litespeed Management LLC, a New York based SEC registered investment adviser with an event driven strategy and as General Counsel to the Kenmar Olympia Group, a global alternative asset investment management company and managed account platform with both SEC registered investment advisers and a US broker dealer. Ms Roitman has held multiple business, legal and compliance positions throughout her career at Bankers Trust, UBS, HSBC and Lehman Brothers. Ms. Roitman experienced firsthand the largest US bankruptcy as Managing Director and head of Fund Derivatives Marketing and Structuring at Lehman Brothers in 2008. She then spent three years running teams tasked with working on the unwind of Lehman’s derivative assets and setting up a claim and valuation process for defaulted Lehman bonds before leaving the bankrupt estate to join the hedge fund industry. Ms. Roitman is a member of the Board of Directors for the New York Alternative Investments Roundtable and formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Hedge Fund Association. While at Bloomberg Ms. Roitman was a member of the Bloomberg Compliance Working Group, Crypto Currency Product working group and Women in Fintech and has spoken at various Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg BNA events and hosted a monthly webinar series on global regulatory topics and was a contributor to Bloomberg Markets Magazine. Ms. Roitman earned her LLM in International Banking Law from Boston University, her JD from the New England School of Law, and her BA from Mount Holyoke College. She is an active mentor having lectured at Barnard College, Pace Law School and Cardozo School of Law and currently mentors active service men and women looking to transition to the private sector through American Corporate Partnership.
