Judith Shaw serves as the Securities Administrator for the State of Maine Office of Securities having been appointed in 2008. From 2001 to 2008, she served as Deputy Superintendent of the Maine Bureau of Insurance.
An active member of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), Judith is the Past-President for the 2016-17 term. She served NASAA as President, President-elect and Secretary of the Board, and Chair of the Enforcement Section Committee. She currently serves as Chair of NASAA’s Senior Issues and Diminished Capacity Committee and Capital Formation Committee.
Judith is the co-chair of the Maine Council for Elder Abuse Prevention, a coalition of public and private partners dedicated to reducing elder abuse and financial exploitation.
Judith graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She obtained her law degree from Widener School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware.
